Pranayama at Yoga Grace

Pranayama is the intense pranic study of the inner workings of our higher self; our atman. Through dynamic breathwork, we are able to focus on controlling our mental state, by slowing down our respiratory system and witnessing our response. Pranayama is essentially the practise of expanding prana (life force energy) in our physical bodies, through breath and meditation.

The process of uncovering oneself through pranayama, is a magical path. Once you have obtained the basic understanding of your senses and mental state you can then begin to work with your respiratory system and begin analyzing your inhalations, exhalations, tonality, and retention more intimately. The idea is that we gain control of our breath pattern to achieve states of bliss, of true liberation from our egoic, earthbound self.

No experience is needed, everyone is welcome to come breathe together!

SiTa RaM Workshop ~ Cumberland

Offering Sita Ram Workshop in Cumberland ~

This workshop is focused on opening the heart and allowing ourself to blossom, to open through mantra and movement. We will invoke mantra into our spirits while listening, reciting Sita Ram throughout the practice. Slowing down, we will have a chance to investigate deep heart opening postures with curiosity. We will explore ‘back bending’ from the heart space rather than the thoracic spine. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary !

The Ram mantra ignites the internal fire that burns our impurities and bad karma, while the Sita mantra activates the flow of prana in Sushumna Nadi (our central line of energetic flow), causing the upward movement of the Kundalini Shakti.

My intention for this workshop is to dive deeper into a simple, yet powerful mantra that we can use in our daily life. We will ReMember how to activate our parasympathetic nervous system to initiate when we are experiencing stresses, and anxieties of this world.

We will burn karmas and limiting beliefs through movement, then clear our Nadis and invoke Shakti energy into our physical bodies through Pranayama, and deep Savasana.

This event is a listening gathering for the release of Chapter Two from Ram Dass and East Forest's compilation album. East forest brilliantly weaves Ram Dass's new teachings into his heartfelt music.

Join me on Friday March 22nd at 7pm to share sacred space together, receiving the healing vibrations of this masterpiece. I will lead a guided meditation to gently root us into the space, as we are gently carried into the soundscapes of #eastforestxramdass.
